A tailor-made solution
A customer recently asked us if we could create a solution for a hose problem caused by abrasive products. Using our skills and ingenuity to find a polyurethane solution, we created a new product to alleviate this pipe problem.
Tailor-made to the customer’s requirements, this product had to be able to withstand a pressure of 150 psi and allow the company to continue operating safely for some time. It’s important to note that it can be difficult to obtain replacement parts quickly, which can bring operations on site to a standstill.
The part we’ve created is a repair collar for low-pressure hose, commonly referred to as a “hose saddle”. Designed specifically to seal a leak in a hose damaged by abrasive products, this solution covers and protects the damaged part of the hose. As a result, our customers can get on with their business without having to worry about the damaged pipe. This solution is not permanent, but it can enable an entire company or team to continue its activities with fewer costly interruptions.
What’s more, this useful part is currently undergoing certification to guarantee its ability to withstand a pressure of 150 psi.
In addition, a part of this type could be appropriate in a variety of sectors, including forestry and mining. The applications are wide-ranging and suitable for different contexts.
