Solutions to meet your challenges<\/h3>\n\n

Tailor-made solutions are our specialty, and your problems are a challenge for us. Finding a solution that will solve your problem and enable you to get on with your business is the best motivation of all. <\/p>\n\n

Four or five years ago, a customer in the mining sector asked us to find a solution to a pipe clogging problem. We had to create an inner pipe cover for a dust collector. Clogging occurs inside pipes when stone dust accumulates. This occurs mainly in spring and autumn when the dust is damp. This accumulation greatly reduced the dust collector’s suction efficiency. The accumulated stone dust was removed using a pressure washer. In other areas, where velocity was higher, premature wear problems led to perforations in the steel pipes. <\/p>\n\n

The solution created for this customer is still in use today, and shows very few signs of wear. You can even still see the mold marks made when the part was molded by Polyplast, despite the fact that stone dust has been rubbing against the walls of this component continuously for years. Our solution stands up to the constant abrasion. <\/p>\n\n

We now offer this product as a solution to prevent abrasion and clogging.<\/p>\n\n

One solution, two functions<\/h3>\n\n

This solution was created to solve a clogging problem. We had noticed on another project that the rock cement used underground to make rock fill wouldn’t stick to our urethane. So we suggested to our customer that they use this material for the inside of their pipes. <\/p>\n\n

This solution is mainly used when there are changes of direction in the pipe, such as bends and “Y” pieces. These changes in direction create turbulence that causes abrasion inside steel pipes. Without an inner lining, the pipe can easily be punctured after only a few weeks’ use. Even for pipes made from a special steel alloy, the wear and tear they undergo is akin to the action of a sandblast striking the same spot over and over again. This is where breakage occurs. <\/p>\n\n

It turns out that lining the inside of the pipe helps to remedy both clogging and abrasion.<\/p>\n\n

Widespread use<\/h3>\n\n

We realized that this solution is widely used to replace an interior covering made of natural rubber. Since rubber was originally used for this purpose, polyurethane offers the distinct advantage of greatly extending the solution’s use and lifespan, thanks to its unrivalled strength and resilience. It could even quadruple the solution’s useful life. <\/p>\n\n

This use of polyurethane is gaining in popularity and making its mark. The use of this material is becoming increasingly attractive for both its durability and efficiency. <\/p>\n\n
