An innovation that increases precision and performance tenfold

An innovation that increases precision and performance tenfold

As we all know, scientific breakthroughs are almost always made in the shadows. So many researchers are busy working on projects in research institutes or labs where we don’t really know how things work. Well, we’ve decided to highlight this research and once again share its process and results in this month’s blog article.

Advances and new devices and tools that make our jobs easier simply wouldn’t be possible without researchers, in this case engineers. They are the ones who create new products that make our tasks more efficient and accurate. We thought we’d re-introduce you to the work of our junior engineer and mechanical engineering project manager, François Boisclair.

Conventional urethane molding techniques consist of making a mold with an open section, into which the product is poured using gravity. Because the mold has an open section, it’s very difficult to achieve an accurate thickness in the final product. Our team has been trying to fix that issue, so we’ve been working on developing a technique that allows us to use both hot and cold urethanes. We are pleased and proud to have achieved a very successful (and enviable) result: accuracy of +/- 0.010 in. It’s important to note here that only a few urethane companies in Canada can do this, and now we’re one of them.

This incredible advance is a goal that Polyplast has been working on from the beginning. It means that we can offer much more precision, helping us stand out from our competitors.

Reliability and performance, first and foremost

Reliability and performance, first and foremost

We are always there to ensure the performance of your projects by minimizing, or even eliminating, the expenses and production delays associated with the breakage and replacement of industrial parts.

Our versatile and high-performance products are manufactured from different types of resins, such as epoxy, silicone and hot and cold polyurethane. The process consists of a mixture of products cast in prefabricated molds.

Allies in optimizing your operations

Allies in optimizing your operations

Polyplast manufactures high-quality polyurethane components that extend the life of your machinery by reducing breakage and, as a result, the costs associated with rust, wear and tear or abrasion of the machinery. Not only do we offer you tools to optimize and extend the life of your equipment, we are your allies in creating customized solutions to your problems, so that you can get the most out of your production time.

To do this, we diagnose your problems by working directly with you. We develop the tools to improve your operations and make sure that your equipment can keep performing. By working with our representative, who will help target your problems by asking you how you use your equipment, we can find solutions that meet your needs.
